Why Are The Estimated Driving Times Different In Google Maps And Mapquest?

if you look up the driving time between the same two cities in first google maps, and then mapquest, you’ll find that the estimated time is almost always longer in google maps than in mapquest. sometimes, the estimated time in google maps is SIGNIFICANTLY longer.
what is the reason behind this discrepancy?

Dude! I KNOW!!! The last time I used mapquest for a trip it was over 100 miles off, and I followed the directions EXACTLY!!! I would suggest using anything but mapquest.

Mapquest usually shows you the shortest timed route first, which is not always the best way to go. I assume google shows you the best way to go.

one uses the easiest way to get from point a to point b, why the other uses the shortest route.(which is not always the quickest way)
