The war in Afghanistan and Pakistan is not a war against those countries but rather on their religion : ISLAM. Unfortunately you can not defeat a religion by bombing its people. That will only make it stronger. America can control the world but it can not protect itself from religious beliefs. Now Islam is spreading inside USA especially among blacks and spanish background. So it does not matter weather USA wins or looses the war, because at the end it is going to be islamized.

America is in Afghanistan. It wage war against the Taliban and Al Qaeda because America believes this two organizations condone terrorism worldwide. Occasionally there are some bombings dropped from American UAV’s into Pakistani territory when American forces pursue the terrorist/s who may fled or hiding across the border. America is not at war with Pakistan or either way. But the bombings has caused an outrage with the Pakistani government for what they say is an intrusion to their sovereignty of their territory bordering with Afghanistan. I will not say it is a war but rather a campaign against terrorism. Either way or whatever you name it, win or lose ,the price to pay is exorbitant.

First, start your school project by determining if we are at “war” with either country.
Next list the last declared “war” the United States was involved in.
Try to find documented proof we have conducted operations within the country of Pakistan (not including the disputed territories).
Then find out what people we are targeting in those regions and you will learn that we are fighting a relatively small group of people from many different places that at one time were given an area to hide out.
Next, ask why Africa will be the new focus on terrorism. (hint, our operations in Afghanistan and Pakistan are working, the bad guys need a new base of operations)

If we lose the war, the terrorists will all go charging into Afghanistan and they will get on planes and follow us home. Then when they land they will run around attacking America and destroying freedom. Soon all the freedom will be gone and Americans will all be sad. Afghanistan might even manage to kill maybe about 10 Americans on American soil, too, If they’re lucky.
As everyone knows, the first thing the Afghans wil do is elect Osama Bn Laden their President. He will be the leader of the Taliban party and they will run on a platform of global jihad. They will use the country’s vast resources and mighty army to march around and attack any freedom-loving country they can find. They might even attack Israel, which is practically the same as attacking America, as everyone knows Israel is America’s best friend in the whole world and gives us billions yearly in military and economic assistance.
Of course all the preceding is a JOKE, I hope nobody actually believed it, if you did, you’ve been watching too much tv.
What will really happen is the same thing that happened to the Russians when they left: nothing.
Funny thing, that bit about “we’re just there to build up their army.” That’s exactly what the USSR did too. Didn’t work. But when the Russians left and the PDPA fell, did the Mujahedin attack the Russians? Nope. Try to start a revolution in Uzbekistan? Nope. Even though they were just across the border. They completely forgot the USSR.
Finally, America has already lost the war. There was no objective in the first place, so it couldn’t have been won or lost for real. But now that Abdullah is refusing to let Karzai rig yet another election, nobody is going to take UN-sponsored democracy seriously. You can’t blame Abdullah; over 1 third of Karzai’s votes were fraudulent. They won’t take American-style democracy seriously now, no way. If we hadn’t backed Karzai, it might be different, but we backed Karzai, and have no credibility there anymore.

We’re not fighting a war in Afghanistan – we whupped on the Taliban and currently they are out of power. They are trying ot make a comeback, but we are staying for a while to make sure they don’t.
I don’t remember a war in Pakistan…other than air bombing and drone dropping on some individual al_Queda personnel.
    Did you mean Iraq?

What war in Afghanistan? Those people have been fighting for thousands of years. We are only there to protect the Opium fields. That’s why you never hear anything about Bin Laden anymore. It’s a losing battle. Even when Bush hired Bin Laden to work for us to kick the Russians out we still lost. That’s a war that we should not be involoved in. 9/11 was done by our own government who hired terrorists and then blamed in on the fictitious Alqueda which doesn’t even exist. Alqueda was a computer program and Tim Osman was Bin Ladens CIA name under the Bush Administration. They are friends and work together to terrorize everyone. Get used to it.

for the 2nd time its not a war its a CONFLICT and world wide it would make us look weak and im sure a lot of American’s would be mad and blame obama for doing a bad job and he wouldn’t get a second term but if we lose then we lose but hey we got a lot of them out of iraq and pushed into afghanistan and now we are pushing them into pakistan so they are running out of places to hide

Well it would be a blow to american military superiority; that’s not going to happen however, both sides in afghanistan are incapable at this point in time of being strategically defeated, the most either side can do is gain superficial victory’s.

We aren’t really fighting a war in Afghanistan anymore. We are know just trying to build their army up so that they can defend themselves. If you watch the news you would think that its a war but it really isn’t.
